I wanted to enter Hirosaki University to study in a wide range of sciences, including the universe, earthquakes, disaster prevention, weather, and geology.<br \/>\nOf these, I was most interested in the geological field. I actually did a geological survey on the west coast area of Tsugaru peninsula, predicting the time of occurrence and scale of a tsunami and high tide by collecting and analyzing samples of sediment, such as measuring the period of a piece of vegetation contained in the soil.<br \/>\nWhile carrying out research, I try to see things from various angles, and be flexible in my thinking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"area_message_t area_message_dept-4\">\n<div class=\"message_photo\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/www.st.hirosaki-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/faculty\/data\/photo_dept-3-t2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"message_text\">\n<p class=\"p_MT_advice\">Advice<\/p>\n<p class=\"p_MT1\">Environmental issues and natural disasters:<br \/>\nDive into various issues of the earth!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p_MT2\">Professor UMEDA, Koji<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In this department, we aim to understand the nature of various problems that occur between human society and the natural environment by viewing the universe and the earth as one system.
