In addition, efforts are being made in environmentally conscious chemistry, such as developing a universal solvent, which can be used as an alternative to organic solvents, made with a water\/carbon dioxide distribution system, and the generation of hydrogen from water using sunlight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clear\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2>Voice of undergraduate<\/h2>\n<div class=\"area_message_s area_message_dept-3\">\n<div class=\"message_photo\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/www.st.hirosaki-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/faculty\/data\/photo_dept-2-s2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"message_text\">\n<p class=\"p_MT1\">I am studying solid state chemistry and will make use of my research for future developments in science!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p_MT2\">Department of Frontier Materials Chemistry 4th grader (2017)<br \/>\nIZUMI, Satoshi<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>It was the open campus that led me to apply to the Faculty of Science and Technology. Currently, I belong to the laboratory of solid state chemistry and fabricate glasses using a levitation technique. I investigate the physical and structural properties of glasses and glass-ceramics derived from BaTi<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>5<\/sub>. I am trying to understand the substitution effect on dielectric properties of BaTi<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>5<\/sub>-based materials.<br \/>\n After graduation, I would like to continue to graduate school, then work in a field that uses the knowledge of this study.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\n\n\n<div class=\"area_message_t area_message_dept-3\">\n\n\n<div class=\"message_photo\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/www.st.hirosaki-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/faculty\/data\/photo_dept-2-t202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"message_text\">\n\n\n<p class=\"p_MT_advice\">Advice<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p_MT1\">Guiding each individual student to advanced chemistry thorough detailed instruction<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p_MT2\">Professor , <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p>This faculty is basically divided into four fields, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry.\nThe first year curriculum  is centered on class lectures, and is prepared so students can smoothly transition from high school chemistry to university chemistry. In the second and third years, students participate in various types of chemistry experiments. \nBy learning chemistry over a wide range up to the third year, students are then able to properly select the field in which they are most interested. During the second semester of their third year, they are assigned to a laboratory to study advanced chemistry. \nFirst, you must consider which area you are most interested in. It is that interest and curiosity which has the power to draw you to study at this university. \nThe Department of Frontier Materials Chemistry is waiting for you, and has prepared a wide range of
